Your written evaluation is the starting point
Illinois uses four DUI risk categories: minimal, moderate, significant, and high. An evaluator makes the classification using the required assessment and records. A website cannot determine your category from a single fact, a blood-alcohol result, or an online questionnaire.
Minimums are not a complete treatment plan
The table summarizes the initial minimum recommendations. Your written evaluation, later clinical findings, and any court or agency instructions may require additional services. Review all recommendations, not only the hour total.
Keep the process in order
First obtain the appropriate evaluation. Then confirm which services are recommended, where they may be completed, and which documents you must retain. Do not enroll solely on the basis of a risk category you selected yourself.
- Confirm the classification shown on your signed report.
- Ask the provider to separate education, intervention, treatment, and continuing-care requirements.
- Confirm acceptance of the provider and attendance format.
- Record deadlines and retain copies of completion documents.
